What is The ZAO?
The ZAO runs a weekly Fractal — a community governance meeting where members earn Respect on Optimism by contributing. We have never missed a week in over 100 consecutive meetings since September 2022.
COC Concertz (cocconcertz.com) is our open music competition platform — artists submit tracks, the community votes, and the top performers battle live on stream. 8 shows completed, with WaveWarZ live battles integrated since COC #7.
WaveWarZ is an onchain music battle protocol where artists earn permanent reputation for their performance record — not followers, not streams, not platform likes. 1,250+ battles have been fought.
ZAOstock is our annual outdoor festival in Ellsworth, Maine (October 3, 2026). 25+ volunteers. WaveWarZ live battles on stage. Proceeds support artist travel costs and community infrastructure.

Governance: Fractal protocol, 100+ consecutive weekly meetings since September 2022 (never missed).
